Gators Beat #19 Alabama, Advance To SEC Tournament Semifinals

The Florida Gators (23-10) defeated #19 Alabama (21-11) 102-88 on Friday night in Nashville. The Gators have now advanced to the semifinal round of the SEC Tournament.

Walter Clayton, Jr, led the way with 23 points for the Gators, who were the sixth-seed in the SEC tournament. The Gators used a 21-2 run late in the first half to take a 48-33 lead into halftime and started the second half just as hot as they took control of the game.

The Gators also got 19 points from Zyon Pullin and 18 points from Tyrese Samuel. Alabama, the third-seed in the tournament, was led by Mark Sears scoring 22 points.

The Gators now take on Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament Semifinals on Saturday afternoon. Tipoff from Nashville is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
