The (just plain) U-G-L-Y Ugly!
- Brandon Weeden: 12/35, 118 yards, 0 TD, 4 INT
- Michael Vick: 29-56, 317 yards, 2 TD, 4 INT
- Matt Stafford: 32-48, 355 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT (againt the Rams... c'mon man!)
- Ryan Tannehill: 20/36, 219 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT
- Miami Dolphins: ZERO offensive points, 2-10 on 3rd down, 0-3 on 4th down, 275 yards of total offense (Schaub threw for 266).
- Eagles Defense: 12 penalties, 110 yards (most were holding, a few were questionable)
- REFS IN THE SEAHAWKS-CARDINALS GAME: So, Seattle basically got 4 timeouts in the 2nd half, and when the refs tried to explain what happened, they got the explanation wrong. In case you missed it, there was a play with about a minute to go in the game where the pass was incomplete and a Seattle player got hurt. The rule states that, in that situation, a timeout should have been taken for the injury. Because of the incomplete pass, the refs stopped the clock and did not take a timeout from Seattle. They just completely ignored the rule. In their explanation, they said the clock was stopped because of the incomplete pass, which is technically WRONG.
Details please...
- I put Josh Freeman under the moderate section because, comparitively speaking, his numbers were mediocre. However, it was a good day for him because he did not throw a pick. That has to make Bucs fans verry happy.
- Even comparitively speaking, those numbers were pretty good for Blaine Gabbert. But for him.... wow! That puts him on pace for 4160 yards this year.
- I know he's a rookie, but Brandon Weeden looks like he going to be one of the best at being horrible (at his position) in a long time. No other QB is as good at being bad as Brandon Weeden. At least he can say no one is on his level.
- Marcedes Lewis looked completely revived yesterday. It needs to keep up for the Jags to have success. Gabbert is still young, and needs a safety blanket who just happens to be a Pro Bowl TE. Now he just needs to play like one in 2012.
- Michael Vick did look pretty horrible yesterday, but the Browns D was getting some help from the replacement refs, who were letting the Browns get away with a lot of hits to Vick's head.
- If you weren't worried about the referee situation before, the Seahawks game should have taken care of that.
