Pete Prisco is a Senior NFL Writer for CBS SportsLine.com, assuming that position in November of 2000 after spending six years as the first Jaguars beat writer for The Florida Times-Union.
Throughout his 19 years living on the First Coast, he's been the NFL authority. His numerous sources throughout the league now him give the listeners insight into their favorite teams.
Prisco is the leader for Jaguars information in the city. He was there in Rosemont, Illinois, when the team was awarded to Jacksonville and was there for many other Jaguars firsts, which allows him to take a historical view on the franchise as well. He's also not about sugar-coating things when it comes to Jaguars or any other NFL team, which is something Tom Coughlin knows all too well from his dealing with him back in the day.
For you college football fans, Prisco is also a former Gators beat writer who spends his Saturdays on the road watching as much college football as possible. The NFL is his job. College football is his hobby. That will allow him to provide informed analysis on all the area teams, Florida, FSU, Miami and Georgia. Of course, as a graduate of Arizona State there will be some Pac-10 boasting thrown in for argument's sake.
Prisco also covers the NCAA Tournament each year for CBS SportsLine.com, so he'll be plenty helpful when it comes time to fill those brackets.
